Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain a self-service developer platform that abstracts infrastructure complexity and improves developer experience.
- Operate and optimise Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources for scalability, performance and cost-efficiency (FinOps).
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and reusable templates to accelerate delivery and reduce manual steps.
- Improve observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) and implement fault-tolerance and disaster recovery practices.
- Automate operational tasks to reduce toil, support incident response, and collaborate with product teams to deliver pragmatic solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD/GitOps tooling.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) and incident debugging practices.
- Scripting and automation skills; experience driving cost optimisation and platform reliability improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; pragmatic, iterative approach to delivering platform features.
