About the role

Responsibilities:
- Own design, deployment, and operational reliability of the cloud infrastructure for a payment processing service.
- Architect AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM) across regions for high availability and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and Kubernetes/Docker orchestration for services and release workflows.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and automate provisioning, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Establish monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response processes to meet uptime and security SLAs.
- Ensure security and compliance (PCI-DSS, SOC 2) are integrated into infrastructure and deployment processes.

Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platform and production infrastructure design.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or similar orchestration) in production environments.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Deep understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, SOC 2), and identity/access management.
- Skills in monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.), backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Scripting/programming experience (Bash, Python, Go) and a focus on automation and reducing operational toil.

Responsibilities

Own the entire infrastructure, deployment, and operational excellence of a payment processing platform. Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, compliance, and high availability for financial transactions.

Requirements

Requires 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience and proficiency with container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tools. Experience with fintech, high-reliability systems, and PCI-DSS compliance is essential.
