Engineering Manager at Wallapop

Responsibilities:
- Lead a topic team within the Buyer Tribe to deliver high-quality software on predictable schedules.
- Coach engineers and teams using servant/participatory leadership; run effective one-on-ones and performance reviews.
- Define vision, priorities and clear goals; provide organisational context and visibility to teams.
- Improve engineering processes, meeting effectiveness and technical culture; remove blockers and support delivery.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding and career development conversations to grow team capability.
- Manage stakeholder communication and ensure alignment between engineering and product/business partners.

Requirements:
- ≥2 years experience leading engineering teams; comfortable with servant leadership and coaching.
- Very strong verbal English communication (Spanish is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and pragmatic, quality-driven mindset.
- Experience with performance management, process improvements and building a collaborative culture.
- Adaptable, excellent communicator and able to work in a hybrid Barcelona-based setup (minimum in-office cadence applies).
