GCP Data Platform Engineer at Homeprotect

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain GCP data platform capabilities to support ingestion, orchestration, processing and analytics.
- Create and maintain reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns, templates and standards (Terraform).
- Configure and operate core GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataplex and Analytics Hub.
- Define and enforce access control and IAM patterns for datasets, service accounts and shared services.
- Build CI/CD and environment-promotion workflows to test, deploy and release platform changes safely.
- Provide platform observability: monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards and operational tooling.
- Support integration and coexistence with Azure services during migration and transition activities.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience operating GCP data platforms in production environments.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Practical experience with orchestration (Cloud Composer/Airflow), BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Dataplex.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, IAM, security and data governance (UK GDPR/FCA awareness beneficial).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production-ready platform patterns, work cross-functionally and document reusable solutions; typically 5+ years relevant experience.
