Junior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Clearing & Settlement (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain business-critical clearing and settlement services using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate in cross-functional agile teams; participate in design discussions, code reviews and DDD-aligned modelling.
- Implement secure, well-tested APIs and relational database interactions; write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS (containerised services on ECS, serverless on Lambda) and use IaC to provision environments.
- Improve observability and reliability through metrics, logging, SLO awareness and incident participation.
- Deliver resilient, compliant financial workflows to production under guidance and continuous feedback.

Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Practical experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot (internships, projects or similar).
- Solid understanding of OOP, API design, relational databases and automated testing practices.
- Interest in Domain-Driven Design and translating business requirements into clear software models.
- Curiosity about cloud-native patterns, distributed systems and AWS services.
- Quality- and security-oriented mindset with attention to clean, maintainable code and collaborative learning.
