Responsibilities:
- Build, operate and maintain a modern multi-cluster, multi-cloud Kubernetes platform (OKD/OpenShift on AWS, Azure, EU Cloud).
- Design and implement GitOps deployment pipelines using ArgoCD (and Kargo where applied).
- Extend platform functionality via Crossplane compositions and custom platform APIs.
- Implement progressive delivery patterns, service mesh (Istio) and policy enforcement (Kyverno).
- Provide day-to-day SRE support: incident response, troubleshooting, reliability work, capacity planning and runbooks.
- Maintain observability and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana) and manage logging/monitoring integrations.
- Collaborate directly with delivery teams to improve developer experience, self-service APIs and deployment flows; document platform features.
Requirements:
- Strong practical experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure; experience with OKD/OpenShift or equivalent self-operated K8s distributions.
- Hands-on knowledge of GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux or similar) and IaC (Crossplane, Terraform or equivalent).
- Experience with service mesh (Istio) and policy engines (Kyverno) and understanding of progressive delivery concepts.
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and SRE practices.
- Proficient coding/scripting skills in at least one language: Go, Python or Java for automation and operator work.
- Security-focused mindset: identity management, encryption, access controls and policy enforcement.
- Good collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and support users of the platform.
