Responsibilities:
- Own the ML lifecycle for AML and sanctions use cases: data ingestion, exploration, model development, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large, event-based datasets from payments, trading, CRM, and core-banking systems.
- Design, train, and validate supervised and statistical models addressing class imbalance and regulatory requirements.
- Implement model monitoring, performance tuning, and data-quality checks in production.
- Produce visualizations and reports to communicate findings and model behaviour to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed models into production and help build ML-Ops capabilities.
Requirements:
- Strong Python and PySpark skills, plus solid SQL and data modeling experience.
- Practical experience with ML tooling (MLflow), Delta Lake, and software delivery practices (Git, code review).
- Good grounding in statistics, supervised learning, feature engineering, and evaluation metrics.
- Experience with data profiling, data-quality processes, and production model monitoring.
- Ability to document models for regulatory/audit validation; English required, German beneficial.
- Agile mindset, pro-active communicator, and willingness to learn banking/transaction data specifics.
