Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and operate production LLM features integrated into products and internal workflows.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and supporting infrastructure for AI capabilities.
- Apply production-ready patterns: RAG, embeddings, vector search, agents, and tool calling.
- Prototype quickly and transition validated experiments into reliable, maintainable production systems.
- Create reusable engineering patterns and components to increase development efficiency and consistency.
- Define evaluation processes and establish observability, monitoring, and feedback mechanisms for AI systems.
- Monitor system health, optimize for latency, reliability, scalability, and inference costs; investigate issues via telemetry.
- Collaborate with Product, ML, and Engineering to align technical choices with product goals.

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features or applications in production.
- Practical experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, agentic systems, LLM APIs, orchestration, and tool calling.
- Strong backend engineering skills (Python/Node.js), API design, and experience with cloud/container platforms (AWS, Docker).
- Knowledge of production LLM concerns: evaluation, observability, failure modes, latency, reliability, and cost management.
- Experience with CI/CD, telemetry-driven debugging, and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Strong collaboration skills and a product-oriented approach to engineering.
