Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end architecture, development, deployment, and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling.
- Lead large, multi-quarter initiatives: decompose work into milestones, deliver iteratively, and measure impact.
- Design, build, and run systems for developer productivity, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, code quality automation, observability, and engineering metrics.
- Drive organization-wide adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows, improving velocity and quality.
- Set technical direction, design scalable solutions, and plan for future operational requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership on roadmap, strategy, and technical trade-offs.
- Mentor senior engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, and hands-on guidance.
- Own operational health: monitoring, incident response, post-incident improvements, maintenance, and deprecation.
- Ensure integrations with third-party APIs and SaaS are secure, reliable, and provide a great developer experience.
Requirements:
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years at Senior or Staff level (or equivalent senior experience).
- Deep hands-on experience building and operating developer platforms, CI/CD, observability/metrics infrastructure, testing frameworks, or code-quality automation.
- Proven impact delivering infrastructure or tooling that measurably improves developer productivity, reliability, or delivery speed.
- Strong backend and system architecture skills, API and SaaS integration experience, and familiarity with deployment and testing best practices.
- Experience owning production systems and using data/metrics to guide improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, strong communication, and ability to drive complex initiatives autonomously.
- Commitment to security, maintainability, and strong developer experience.
