Senior Backend Engineer (all genders) - Vehicle Foundation at MOIA GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure that connects backend services with in-vehicle systems.
- Develop passenger management features (authentication, safety checks, UI content delivery) and ensure reliable in-vehicle behavior.
- Integrate AWS IoT services to bridge telemetry, camera streams, metrics, logs, and authentication between cloud and vehicles.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines for building and distributing embedded software and manage deployment tooling for the vehicle fleet.
- Add tooling for observability, security, provisioning, and automated testing of hardware/software platforms.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional, autonomous team; participate in full lifecycle from design to maintenance.

Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Golang and willingness to work with TypeScript and Python when needed.
- Experience with AWS IoT and serverless components (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS) and event-driven architectures.
- Practical knowledge of IaC (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with containers (Docker), edge communication protocols (MQTT), and Linux-based systems.
- Interest in embedded development (C++ basics) and experience or curiosity about fleet/vehicle software distribution.
- Nice to have: ROS2 experience and background in observability, security, or embedded tooling.
