(Senior) Backend Engineer (all genders) - Vehicle Mission at MOIA GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Research, design and implement passenger management and vehicle mission orchestration backends.
- Bridge data flows between AWS backend services and in-vehicle components using AWS IoT (commands, events, metrics, logs).
- Build and operate serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS) that coordinate boarding workflows and mission control.
- Integrate and maintain test infrastructure and tools used for autonomous vehicle development (SiL/HiL test support, diagnostics).
- Work full lifecycle in a cross-functional team: design, implementation, QA, CI/CD, deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with VW Group, vendors and partners to align interfaces, tooling and hardware requirements.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in TypeScript or another modern typed backend language.
- Practical experience with AWS IoT and serverless technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS) and MQTT-based edge communication.
- Familiarity with CICD tooling (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild) and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Interest or experience in embedded development and autonomous/mobility systems.
- Agile mindset, proactive problem-solving, strong communication skills and ability to work in a bottom-up autonomous team.
