Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate backend services and APIs using Python and Django/DRF.
- Own features end-to-end: design, implement, test, deploy and operate in production.
- Build and maintain background processing, task orchestration (Celery/agents) and LLM integrations (RAG pipelines).
- Develop data pipelines and integrations that support AI-driven product behaviour and personalization.
- Ensure reliability, performance and scalability on GCP; collaborate closely with CTO and engineering team.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested code; participate in code reviews and system design discussions.
- Work on-site in London regularly (min. one week/month) and be open to relocation within 6 months.

Requirements:
- 5+ years building production backend systems with strong Python and Django experience.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with background workers (Celery or equivalent) and orchestration.
- Experience deploying and operating services on GCP and using IaC (Terraform) for infra automation.
- Practical experience integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, or agent-based orchestration in production.
- Strong ownership, testing mindset, performance tuning and incident diagnosis skills.
- Comfortable working closely with founders and contributing at a senior/strategic level; relocation/on-site availability required.
