Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BI backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript
- Design and operate scalable data integrations with Google BigQuery and the data platform
- Build and optimize high-traffic APIs with low latency and high availability
- Collaborate with product, data scientists, analysts and frontend engineers to deliver recommendation and sorting logic
- Drive architecture decisions, evaluate new technologies and mentor less experienced engineers
- Ensure code quality, testing and observability (logging, monitoring, alerting)

Requirements:
- 5+ years backend development experience
- Strong, recent experience with TypeScript and backend frameworks
- Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling for analytic workloads
- Experience building scalable APIs and maintaining production services
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable in an agile, English-speaking environment
- Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and improve existing systems
- Nice to have: Elasticsearch, deep BigQuery experience, Datadog, frontend experience (React/Vue), cloud (AWS)
