About the role

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain product-stream sorting services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design APIs for high-traffic use with low latency and strong reliability guarantees.
- Integrate large-scale data sources and queries via BigQuery; collaborate with BI and data platform teams.
- Work with data scientists to embed ML/LLM-based signals into sorting logic and ensure production readiness.
- Lead technical design, improve system observability and ensure code quality and scalability.
- Mentor peers, propose architecture improvements and explore new technologies (ML, generative AI).

Requirements:
- 5+ years building scalable APIs and backend services (Node.js, Python or Go experience).
- Practical experience with typed languages (TypeScript) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean, maintainable code and solid debugging/problem-solving skills.
- Experience with large data volumes and integrating with data warehouses (BigQuery preferred).
- Comfortable working in English in an agile environment and owning product areas end-to-end.
- Nice to have: centralized logging/monitoring (Datadog), cloud ecosystems (AWS/GCP), orchestration (Dagster/Airflow), Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, dbt, distributed processing frameworks, ML/LLM exposure.

Responsibilities

You will develop smart product-stream sorting algorithms using NodeJS and TypeScript while managing large data volumes via Google BigQuery. You will also collaborate with data scientists and product managers to build high-traffic APIs and integrate machine learning models into the shopping experience.

Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in building scalable APIs and practical knowledge of typed programming languages like TypeScript. Proficiency in SQL or No-SQL databases and strong analytical problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
