(Senior) Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (Network) (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design, operate, and scale multi-account AWS network architectures (VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink).
- Build and maintain highly available connectivity to partners (Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, peering).
- Implement and run financial middleware networking that supports critical partner integrations.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for network resources and patterns.
- Automate operational workflows and emergency runbooks using Python or Go where needed.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, perform packet-level debugging, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to shape secure networking patterns, DNS (Route 53), edge (CloudFront/ELB) and security controls (WAF, Network Firewall).
- Mentor engineers, provide onboarding and guidance on network best practices and observability.

Requirements:
- Multiple years hands-on with AWS networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route 53, CloudFront, ELB.
- Strong Terraform experience for IaC and reusable network modules.
- Proficiency in a general-purpose language (Python or Go) for automation and tooling.
- Practical experience with VPNs, Direct Connect, BGP, IPsec and network debugging tools (tcpdump, flow logs).
- Familiarity with cloud security controls (WAF, Network Firewall) and compliance-aware operations.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting and incident management in production.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
