Senior Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript) - Client Technology (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain client-facing Next.js applications using React and TypeScript.
- Design and evolve GraphQL schemas, queries and federated services in collaboration with backend teams.
- Contribute to and grow the shared frontend component library and design system with accessibility and consistency in mind.
- Deliver performant, secure and privacy-conscious UI solutions for regulated financial products.
- Write and maintain automated tests, ensure observability and drive frontend engineering best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data and Operations; mentor junior engineers and improve developer experience.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js and familiarity with server-side rendering patterns.
- Practical knowledge of GraphQL (schema design, fragments, queries/mutations) and experience with federated GraphQL is a plus.
- Proven experience building component libraries, focusing on accessibility, performance and long-term maintainability.
- Solid testing mindset: unit, integration and end-to-end testing for frontend systems.
- Product-oriented engineer with clear communication skills in English and experience working in regulated environments (finance/fintech) is desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and a willingness to work on complex client journeys end-to-end.
