(Senior) Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Clearing & Settlement (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and evolve clearing and settlement backend services using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot.
- Translate complex financial processes into software models using Domain-Driven Design and event-driven patterns.
- Develop and operate cloud-native workloads on AWS (ECS, Lambda), leveraging containers and serverless where appropriate.
- Ensure delivery quality with IaC, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production monitoring.
- Own features end-to-end from design to production while improving reliability, security and developer experience.

Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent and 5+ years of backend development experience, ideally in fintech or related domains.
- Strong Kotlin or Java expertise with Spring Boot and hands-on DDD experience.
- Proven experience with distributed, event-driven systems, API design and operational concerns.
- Familiarity with AWS (ECS, Lambda), CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and observability tooling.
- Quality and security mindset, with focus on maintainability, testing and compliance in financial systems.
