Senior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Client Technology (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate secure, reliable, and scalable services using Kotlin/Java in a cloud-native environment.
- Own features across authentication, onboarding, consent flows, client engagement and support tooling.
- Build and run services on AWS with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, observability).
- Write clean, testable and well-documented code with strong security and quality focus.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, QA and other engineering teams to ship improvements.
- Participate in system design, code reviews and on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements:
- Strong professional experience with Java and/or Kotlin and backend frameworks (Spring, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-native microservices, Docker, CI/CD and AWS services.
- Proficiency with REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication patterns (JWT) and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL datastores and designing scalable data models.
- Good communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Bonus: fintech/banking experience and prior work on client-facing systems.
