About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, resilient enterprise platforms (Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Apache NiFi; Elastic Stack; Dataiku) that support the Bank's data infrastructure.
- Lead platform modernization: hybrid cloud integration, containerization, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Drive automation and standardization using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet and build CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Implement monitoring and observability (Cloudera Manager, Elastic Monitoring, OpenTelemetry); centralize logs and runbooks; ensure SLAs and operational excellence.
- Act as technical authority and mentor: advise teams, resolve complex incidents, and align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness across platforms and manage identity integrations (AD/Azure AD).

Requirements:
- Proven experience in platform engineering, cluster management, and big-data platforms (Cloudera, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop) and/or Elastic Stack and Dataiku.
- Hands-on knowledge of automation/configuration tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong Linux/system administration skills and experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and performance tuning; familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid-cloud patterns.
- Understanding of security, governance, identity integration, and compliance in enterprise environments.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills; ability to produce operational documentation and runbooks.
