Responsibilities:
- Evolve platform architecture in partnership with the Technical Director to meet scale and Live Ops needs.
- Design, build and operate scalable backend services powering Live Ops, social features and game systems.
- Modernize legacy systems and deliver extensible APIs, data models, background services and web tooling.
- Own cloud infrastructure and deployment environments using cloud-native practices (Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD).
- Improve observability: implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and runbook-driven incident response.
- Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate closely with designers, product and analytics to deliver platform solutions.

Requirements:
- Strong production experience building and operating backend services for large-scale systems (preferably games/Live Ops).
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Google Cloud), Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with Go (preferred) or similar languages, distributed systems and API design.
- Solid observability and operational experience: monitoring, tracing, alerting and incident management.
- Good communication skills and ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term architecture.
