Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency Rust services that handle time-sensitive financial workflows.
- Develop streaming pipelines for real-time inputs, event processing, and feedback loops.
- Ensure correctness and reliability of financial logic through testing and strong error handling.
- Profile and benchmark systems to optimise CPU, memory, and network usage.
- Collaborate on API design, data models, and distributed system architecture.
- Produce clear documentation, monitoring, and runbooks to support operations and audits.
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or comparable experience.
- Strong production experience with Rust (ownership, lifetimes, async, concurrency) and systems programming.
- Proven background building low-latency, high-performance services and streaming architectures.
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Terraform, profiling tools, and benchmarking methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills, systems thinking, and the ability to communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
- Experience with domain-driven design, distributed architectures, and producing well-documented, testable code.
