Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a Consumer Product engineering team: set direction, coach engineers and foster a collaborative culture.
- Drive technical strategy, improve product delivery processes and raise engineering quality across the team.
- Partner with Product to shape the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs and KPIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time, manage priorities, and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure scalability, reliability and operational excellence (monitoring, testing, CI/CD) for Marketplace products.
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation and define OKRs to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Proficiency in at least one modern language (PHP or JS/TS) and familiarity with relevant frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with the HomeToGo tech stack: Symfony, MariaDB/Postgres, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, Redis, Aerospike, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, understanding of scalable application design and operational considerations.
- Comfortable working in agile environments, defining KPIs and executing OKRs.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritise work and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
