Responsibilities:
- Own and scale payment platform services: design, implement and maintain payment integrations (Adyen, ProcessOut, Checkout.com).
- Build reliable backend services using PHP 8.4 and Symfony 7.4 in containerized cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define technical roadmap and propose trade-offs for new features.
- Instrument and monitor services with Kibana, Grafana and New Relic to detect issues and inform performance improvements.
- Automate manual operational workflows and work with Payment Operations to improve reliability and reduce toil.
- Integrate financial data pipelines with Data Engineering (Snowflake, Superset) for reporting and BI.
Requirements:
- 3+ years professional backend development experience; strong preference for PHP/Symfony background.
- Practical experience with payment systems or strong interest in payment/financial logic and PSP integrations.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native best practices.
- Experience using monitoring/observability tools and partnering with data teams for BI pipelines.
- Fluent English and ability to collaborate in a distributed team; flexible to attend in-office sessions in Kaunas.
- Problem-solving mindset, ability to challenge requirements and propose scalable engineering solutions.
