Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services for international repayments and collections.
- Break down larger projects into deliverable phases and own end-to-end delivery for assigned features.
- Collaborate with Product, Design and Analytics during ideation to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Build observability: define metrics, create alerts, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain reliability.
- Perform code reviews, debug production issues, and contribute to a healthy engineering culture (interviews, mentorship).

Requirements:
- 1.5+ years professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience building and shipping backend systems; proficient in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and relevant tech such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: designing multi-component solutions, writing clear, testable, maintainable code.
- Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging others' code, and giving/receiving actionable code review feedback.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
