Responsibilities:
- Set the long-term technical direction for analytics engineering across Revenue, Purchase, and Orders.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, data-modeling conventions, and semantic layer practices.
- Drive cross-domain consistency by identifying and resolving intersections between Revenue, Purchase, and Orders data models.
- Lead hands-on design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data pipelines and data products.
- Improve operational quality: observability, testing, monitoring, and incident response for analytics pipelines.
- Reduce systemic complexity and drive reuse through modular models, layered architectures, and clear ownership.
- Mentor analytics engineers and collaborate with data scientists, engineering managers, and product managers to align technical priorities.
Requirements:
- Strong background (5+ years) in analytics or data engineering with experience shaping analytics architecture.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling (dimensional/semantic layers), and dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent) and orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster).
- Demonstrated systems thinking, and ability to influence cross-functional technical direction.
- Experience with data quality, observability, and cost governance for large-scale analytics systems.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills; able to drive standards and collaborate across teams.
