Responsibilities:
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and server-side business logic using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Model databases and manage PostgreSQL (Supabase) schemas, queries, functions, row-level security, and realtime features.
- Deploy, configure and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM) ensuring scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Write and maintain tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality.
- Implement secure-by-default authentication, authorization and data protection practices following Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles.
- Instrument logging, monitoring and alerting; lead incident response and continuous uptime improvements.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, product and design teams, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor peers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proven experience with PostgreSQL-based backends (Supabase or equivalent), including schema design and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and serverless/container deployments (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, etc.).
- Solid understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL), microservices and cloud-native application patterns.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest), CI/CD pipelines and code review workflows.
- Knowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture and secure coding best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in an on-site, cross-functional team; relocation support available.
