Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design data models and queries for Supabase/PostgreSQL, including security policies and real-time features.
- Deploy and operate services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred): Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews.
- Apply Clean Code and Clean Architecture to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
- Monitor service health, set up alerts, and own incident response and reliability improvements.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
- Proven Node.js and TypeScript expertise.
- Strong experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-based backends.
- Hands-on cloud experience with serverless deployments and GCP tooling.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest), CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows.
- Good system design, security mindset, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work onsite in Lisbon (relocation assistance available).
