Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, performant backend services primarily in Go.
- Design and implement new microservices and help migrate/replace legacy components responsibly.
- Collaborate with product, design and data teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Ensure system reliability and low latency under heavy load; optimise for performance and observability.
- Follow TDD/DDD and CI/CD practices; participate in code reviews and system design discussions.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience (5+ for senior) building and maintaining scalable backend systems.
- Proficiency in Go preferred; strong engineering fundamentals accepted from other languages (Python, Java, C++, Ruby).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- Familiarity with gRPC/Thrift, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform; CI/CD tooling and testing practices.
- Good English communication (B2+) and ability to debate technical trade-offs with peers.
