Responsibilities:
- Lead design and development of scalable backend services, primarily in Go.
- Deliver new microservices and drive safe migration of functionality from legacy systems.
- Translate product requirements into technical designs and implementation plans in partnership with PMs, designers and data scientists.
- Ensure service reliability and low latency under heavy load; perform performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Advocate and apply TDD, DDD, and CI/CD best practices across the team.
- Participate in architecture and system-design activities; mentor junior engineers.
Requirements:
- 6+ years building and operating production-grade backend services.
- Strong Go experience preferred; candidates proficient in other languages (Python, C++, Ruby) will be evaluated on fundamentals.
- Deep familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka) and RPC technologies (gRPC/Thrift).
- Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Comfortable discussing technical trade-offs in English (B2+).
