Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test and maintain backend services that process high-volume payment and card transactions.
- Participate across the full software lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product, QA and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure and well-documented APIs and services.
- Own individual project priorities and share knowledge through team sessions and GSDD innovation days.
- Contribute to operational excellence: observability, incident response, security and performance tuning.
Requirements:
- Practical experience building production systems with a JVM language and Spring Boot; Kotlin experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture, API design and resilient service patterns.
- Experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres) and familiarity with non-relational stores.
- Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS preferred) and following secure development practices.
- Strong bias for action, testing discipline, good documentation habits and collaborative communication skills.
