Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services within the Financial Empowerment domain.
- Own individual project priorities and deliverables while collaborating with the team on design and implementation.
- Help define tracking, observability, and security considerations for services in production.
- Stay current with technology trends and propose improvements during innovation days (GSDD).
- Write well-tested, documented code and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
- Experience building production systems with a JVM language and Spring Boot; Kotlin experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture and service-to-service interactions.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred).
- Experience or appreciation for modern cloud architectures, ideally AWS.
- Strong bias for action, attention to security, and commitment to code quality and clear communication.
