Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and evolve the corporate data warehouse to serve business users, analysts and ML engineers.
- Design and implement robust EL/ELT/ETL pipelines and data ingestion workflows (batch and streaming).
- Build data collection tools, orchestration and monitoring for reliable data delivery.
- Model data using appropriate schemas (star schema, SCDs, Data Vault) and apply system design best practices.
- Integrate internal and external systems via APIs, message brokers and queues; support relational, MPP and NoSQL stores.
- Implement data quality checks, governance practices and cost-optimisation for cloud storage and compute.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with DWH development and maintenance.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with system design and data processing best practices.
- Practical experience with Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Docker and GCP; GitLab CI/CD familiarity preferred.
- Knowledge of data architecture approaches (Kimball, Inmon, Medallion, Data Mesh) and data modeling techniques.
- Experience implementing data quality, governance and cost-control measures in cloud environments.
- Comfortable working with APIs, message brokers/queues and modern storage technologies.
