Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate scalable AWS-based data pipelines to ingest, transform and deliver data for analytics, reporting and AI use cases
- Extend and maintain our lakehouse to support regulatory reporting and cross-team data needs
- Develop high-quality data models and clean structured/unstructured data for downstream consumers
- Implement testing, monitoring and alerting to ensure pipeline accuracy, reliability and performance
- Collaborate with product, engineering and analytics teams to deliver data products and promote best practices
- Continuously evaluate and introduce modern data engineering patterns and tooling
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or similar roles
- Practical experience building and operating data pipelines on AWS (S3, Glue/Athena/DMS or similar)
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with dbt, Airflow and Spark/PySpark desirable
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cloud networking and security (IAM, VPC)
- Experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink) is a plus
- Fluent English and ability to work cross-functionally
