Senior DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure & DB Automation) at Lionhires

Responsibilities:
- Architect, provision and maintain hybrid infrastructure (AWS services and on-prem bare-metal Linux) using Terraform, Terragrunt and Ansible.
- Design, implement and own infrastructure-as-code pipelines and CI/CD for reliable deployments.
- Automate database lifecycles: provisioning, configuration, migrations and tuning in collaboration with DBAs.
- Build custom automation tools and scripts in Python or Go for complex workflows and operational tasks.
- Implement observability and alerting for systems and databases using Prometheus and related tooling.
- Centralise secrets and enforce access control and encryption using HashiCorp Vault.
- Document patterns, mentor engineers, and promote best practices for secure, scalable operations.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of DevOps/SRE experience with strong focus on infrastructure automation and IaC.
- Hands-on experience managing hybrid environments (AWS and on-prem bare-metal Linux).
- Expert-level use of Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt for provisioning and configuration management.
- Strong scripting and tool-development skills in Python or Go.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, disk I/O optimisation and advanced networking.
- Experience with Prometheus and Vault (or similar) for observability and secret management.
- Nice to have: Kubernetes (EKS/self-hosted), experience running stateful workloads/operators in K8s, and mentoring experience.
