Responsibilities:
- Lead and support 2–3 cross-functional product teams in a you-build-it-you-run-it setup.
- Remove roadblocks, create alignment, and drive transparent delivery of product goals and KPIs.
- Spend part of the time hands-on with the codebase to stay close to technical challenges (PHP/JavaScript).
- Mentor engineers, run regular one-to-ones, give feedback and enable professional growth.
- Define and drive strategic engineering initiatives: raise the engineering bar, improve guidelines and practices.
- Balance time, budget and quality to ensure reliable product delivery and customer value.
- Collaborate with product, design and stakeholders to prioritise work and manage expectations.

Requirements:
- Several years of experience in engineering management within cross-functional product teams.
- Hands-on experience building scalable web applications, ideally with PHP and JavaScript in production.
- Strong ownership mentality, excellent communication skills and proven ability to work remotely.
- Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical roadmaps and improving delivery processes.
- Comfortable with strategic planning, stakeholder management and working in an international environment.
- Fluent English (C1); German is beneficial but not mandatory depending on team needs.
