(Senior) Platform Engineer - Real-Time Infrastructure - Banking (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Own and operate end-to-end infrastructure for real-time trading systems across AWS, physical hosts, and hybrid environments.
- Design and improve low-latency, performance-sensitive services with repeatable production-like benchmarks (throughput, burst behaviour, p50/p95/p99/p99.9 latency).
- Design, operate, and troubleshoot critical network paths (VPCs, routing, security groups, load balancers, DNS, private connectivity, service-to-service comms).
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code, host lifecycle management, and safe deployment workflows across dev, staging, and production.
- Improve reliability, failover, recovery, and operational safety for Linux runtimes, containers, serverless/event-driven flows, and stateful services.
- Harden platform security around IAM, KMS, secrets, service connectivity, and secure operational access.
- Raise observability standards with dashboards, alerts, tracing, health/readiness checks, incident tooling and runbooks.
- Collaborate with software teams to create reusable infrastructure and support incident response.

Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience owning production infrastructure in AWS and on Linux hosts.
- Deep knowledge of low-latency networking, performance tuning, and distributed systems behavior under load.
- Strong experience with IaC (Terraform or similar), container runtimes, CI/CD, and deployment safety practices.
- Practical skills in networking (VPCs, LB, DNS), IAM, KMS, secrets management, and secure access controls.
- Experience designing benchmarks and performance tests for p50–p99.9 latency metrics.
- Familiarity with observability tooling (metrics, tracing, logging) and incident management.
- Comfortable working with stateful services, dedicated hardware when needed, and collaborating across teams.
