Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain highly available microservices using Java and Spring Boot within an event-driven architecture.
- Apply domain-driven design to model payment and cash-management domains; produce robust, maintainable APIs.
- Implement and operate Kafka-based messaging flows for partner integrations and async processing.
- Architect and tune relational schemas and queries (PostgreSQL) for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product, solutions engineering and business teams to integrate and support partners.
- Ensure service reliability: testing, observability, monitoring, incident response and SLAs.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews and help shape engineering best practices across teams.
Requirements:
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience building production microservices.
- Practical experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms and event-driven design.
- Solid PostgreSQL skills, schema design and query optimization experience.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, scalability, resilience and system design principles.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product and partner teams; product-minded approach.
- Proven mentoring, communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with testing, CI/CD and automated delivery practices.
