Responsibilities:
- Act as a hands-on technical advisor to startups and high-growth companies building on the Claude Developer Platform.
- Work directly with customer engineering teams: pair-program, review architectures, contribute code and build prototypes.
- Design evaluation frameworks, testing suites and metrics to validate model behavior and product quality.
- Create technical resources: reference architectures, sample apps, tutorials, and integration guides.
- Collaborate with Applied AI Architects, Product and Engineering to surface patterns and feed product improvements.
- Run workshops, office hours, hackathons and customer-facing technical sessions; travel to customer sites as needed.
Requirements:
- 4+ years as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder with production engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience building production LLM-powered applications (prompting, context engineering, agent patterns).
- Practical experience designing evaluation frameworks, deployment strategies and scaling LLM applications.
- Comfortable in customer-facing technical roles: clear communicator, able to translate technical tradeoffs for engineers and leaders.
- Experience across multiple industries or use cases and the ability to quickly adapt to new domains.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and example code.
