Responsibilities:
- Design, build and ship foundational security services and internal platforms that enable engineers to build securely and quickly.
- Architect highly available, scalable, low‑latency systems and remove throughput bottlenecks.
- Improve reliability, performance and operational efficiency across distributed services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams; lead technical design reviews and whiteboarding sessions.
- Mentor peers, pair program, and promote defensive programming and application‑level security best practices.
- Participate in on‑call rotations: triage incidents, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux, computer networking and cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform preferred).
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Go, Ruby) and experience shipping production services.
- Experience with databases and caches (MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse or similar) and observability tools.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability engineering and security fundamentals (IAM, WAF, Vault desirable).
- Track record of independently leading and delivering significant technical projects and mentoring others.
- Excellent debugging, performance‑profiling and system design skills for high‑scale environments.
