Responsibilities:
- Work directly with customers to understand problems and design product experiences that solve real needs.
- Build scalable backend infrastructure to support thousands of AI-driven phone calls per day.
- Create intuitive, AI-first user experiences for communications-enabled workflows.
- Own projects end-to-end: concept, implementation, production deployment and post-release support.
- Contribute to core architectural decisions that shape the platform's scalability and reliability.
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization).
- Proven experience designing scalable backend architectures and async/real-time systems.
- Hands-on experience building AI-first or communications-enabled products.
- Demonstrated ability to take a product from 0 to 1 and own it through production.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Node.js and Python.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing communication skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Berlin, Germany.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Temporal.io, Twilio or Modal; background in voice/telephony systems or startups.
