Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain backend services that power bankruptcy and hardship servicing workflows.
- Build event-driven pipelines and high-availability systems with a focus on correctness and auditability.
- Contribute to design, code, tests and reviews; ensure services are well-tested and maintainable.
- Collaborate with product, compliance and other platform teams to define requirements and trade-offs.
- Participate in on-call rotation, incident response and operational improvements.
- Communicate progress, risks and technical decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Practical experience (work or internship) building backend systems using Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed system concepts and technologies (AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes preferred).
- Ability to design simple-to-composed solutions, write clear, tested, extensible code and debug large codebases.
- Comfortable doing code reviews and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication for effective collaboration across distributed teams.
- Willingness to join on-call rotation and operate in a production environment.
