About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend services, RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Model and maintain PostgreSQL schemas and Supabase integrations (functions, RLS, real-time features).
- Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, Pub/Sub).
- Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and participate in code reviews.
- Apply Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles to ensure maintainability and security.
- Implement authentication/authorization and data protection best practices.
- Set up logging, monitoring, alerting and lead incident response and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with product, frontend and other engineers; document architecture and mentor peers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in backend engineering.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Supabase (including RLS and functions).
- Experience deploying/managing serverless and containerized services on GCP (Cloud Run/Functions) and working with IAM and Pub/Sub.
- Proven testing experience (Jest or equivalent) and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with REST and GraphQL API design, clean architecture, and secure-by-default patterns.
- Comfortable with observability, incident response and performance troubleshooting.
- Good collaboration and communication skills; ability to document design decisions.

You will design, build, and maintain server-side components using Node.js and TypeScript while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will manage cloud infrastructure on GCP and ensure high code quality through testing and monitoring.
Requirements
Candidates must have 5+ years of backend engineering experience with proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL-based services. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, API design, and clean architecture principles is required.
