Responsibilities:
- Lead the team’s transition from a service-oriented mindset to a product-oriented data platform, prioritizing automation, developer self-service, and scalability.
- Define and communicate a roadmap aligning platform capabilities with AI use cases, product needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver platform APIs, tooling, and guardrails enabling autonomous, safe use by downstream teams.
- Hire, mentor, and grow engineers; set performance expectations and promote technical ownership and shared responsibility.
- Coordinate with Product, Security, and other stakeholders to balance risk, compliance, and delivery timelines.
- Improve operational excellence: monitoring, incident response, runbooks, and infrastructure automation.
Requirements:
- Experience leading platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps teams, preferably in regulated or complex technical environments.
- Demonstrated success transforming team structures, processes, and mindsets toward product-centric ownership.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native data architectures and practical experience with public cloud providers (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, observability tooling, and automation practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience creating technical roadmaps and driving alignment.
