Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain platform components in Java across the full development lifecycle.
- Embed automated testing and TDD practices into the CI/CD pipeline; ensure tests run as part of delivery.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders and production support to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
- Participate in production support and incident calls; own issues through to resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Work with database, messaging/queueing, cloud and observability tooling to ensure platform reliability.
- Proactively identify and escalate technical and delivery risks; contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Coordinate with global engineering teams to deliver consistent, production-grade outcomes.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on Java development experience in an agile delivery environment.
- Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with database technologies, messaging/queueing systems, cloud platforms and observability/monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in incident management.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, engineering or related field preferred.
