Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate internal developer platform components (CI/CD, testing infrastructure, observability, metrics) to improve delivery velocity and quality.
- Own architectural decisions, release safety, and long-term operability for the areas you lead.
- Lead multi-quarter initiatives: break problems into iterative milestones, define success criteria, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and influence engineers via design reviews, code review, and technical leadership; embed best practices across teams.
- Partner with leadership to shape roadmap and technical strategy; push back on requirements and propose scalable alternatives.
- Monitor operational health; use data to drive iteration, maintenance, and deprecation decisions.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years as a software engineer, with 2–3 years at senior/staff level owning platform or tooling projects.
- Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD systems, observability/metrics stacks, testing infrastructure, or developer tooling at scale.
- Track record of shipping infrastructure that measurably improved developer velocity or reduced cognitive load.
- Strong system design and Python (or equivalent) skills; experience integrating APIs and SaaS tools.
- Proven ability to lead long-running, cross-team projects with high autonomy and clear trade-off decisions.
- Good communication and mentorship skills; comfortable operating in AI-assisted development environments.
