Responsibilities:
- Lead design and development of platform components in Java, delivering high-quality, production-ready code across the SDLC.
- Ensure automated testing and TDD are integral to the CI/CD pipeline and delivery process.
- Drive collaboration with business analysts, stakeholders and production support to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Lead or participate in production support and incident response; own remediation and post-incident follow-up.
- Work with databases, messaging/queueing systems, cloud infrastructure and observability tools to maintain system reliability.
- Identify, escalate and mitigate technical and delivery risks; champion continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
- Coordinate with global engineering teams to ensure consistent architecture and operations across regions.
Requirements:
- Significant hands-on Java development experience (senior level) in an agile, fast-paced delivery environment.
- Strong experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of database technologies, messaging/queueing systems, cloud platforms and observability/monitoring solutions.
- Experience in production support, incident management and resolving live issues under pressure.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction, mentor peers and improve engineering practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; degree or equivalent experience preferred.
