Responsibilities:
- Design and implement core features for near-real-time, low-latency card transaction systems on a distributed hybrid-cloud platform.
- Write production-quality code (Java/Vert.x, Spring), unit and integration tests, and follow CI/CD practices.
- Work in an agile team: participate in planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery of features.
- Integrate with messaging and data platforms (Kafka, NoSQL, caching) and ensure high availability and resilience.
- Implement observability (tracing, metrics, logging) and troubleshoot production incidents; participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and operations to drive technical trade-offs and platform improvements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong software engineering skills with Java (Spring, Vert.x) and familiarity with Go preferred.
- Experience designing and operating distributed microservice systems and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency with messaging systems (Kafka), databases (NoSQL, Redis), and building scalable APIs.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools (tracing/metrics/logs).
- Good communication skills and experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
