Responsibilities:
- Design, build, deploy and maintain production-grade LLM features integrated into customer-facing products and internal workflows.
- Implement RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search, agents and tool-calling patterns for production use.
- Develop backend services, APIs and integrations to connect AI components with product functionality.
- Create reusable components, abstractions and engineering patterns to improve velocity and maintainability.
- Establish evaluation, observability, monitoring and feedback loops for AI features; track telemetry and SLOs.
- Optimize systems for latency, reliability, scalability and inference cost; investigate and remediate production incidents.
- Rapidly prototype ideas, validate them with stakeholders, and productionize successful experiments.
- Collaborate closely with Product, ML and Engineering on architecture, trade-offs and long-term sustainability.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features or applications into production.
- Practical expertise with RAG, embeddings, vector search, agentic systems, LLM APIs, orchestration and tool calling.
- Strong understanding of production LLM considerations: evaluation, observability, failure modes, latency, reliability and cost management.
- Solid software engineering skills (backend services, API design, cloud deployment, CI/CD, Docker) and familiarity with distributed systems.
- Experience with Python and modern web stacks (TypeScript/Node.js) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Product-focused mindset, good communication skills and ability to translate product needs into pragmatic AI solutions.
