Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate LLM-powered product features, from prototypes to production-grade systems.
- Build backend services, APIs and integrations that connect LLM capabilities to product workflows.
- Implement RAG, embeddings, vector search and agentic/tool-calling patterns with production considerations.
- Create reusable components and abstractions to increase development velocity and maintainability.
- Define and maintain observability, evaluation and monitoring to track model quality, latency and cost.
- Troubleshoot production issues using telemetry, optimize inference costs and improve reliability.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, ML and Engineering to prioritize and ship impactful AI features.
Requirements:
- Proven experience shipping LLM-powered features to production and practical understanding of production LLM trade-offs.
- Hands-on with RAG, vector search/embeddings, agents and LLM API/tool-calling patterns.
- Strong backend engineering skills (Python/Node.js) and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and evaluation practices for ML systems.
- Product-oriented mindset, strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with front-end integration (Angular/TypeScript) is a plus but not required.
