Responsibilities:
- Architect and deliver production LLM features that integrate into customer products and internal tools.
- Build backend services, APIs, and infrastructure connecting models to product functionality.
- Implement RAG, embeddings, vector search, agents, and tool-calling workflows for production use.
- Rapidly prototype concepts and operationalize those that prove valuable into maintainable systems.
- Define reusable components, engineering patterns, and abstractions to improve consistency and speed.
- Create evaluation frameworks and set up observability, monitoring, and feedback loops for AI features.
- Monitor and tune systems for quality, latency, reliability, scalability, and inference cost; investigate issues via telemetry.
- Collaborate with Product, ML, and Engineering on architecture, trade-offs, and long-term sustainability.
Requirements:
- Proven experience shipping LLM-powered features or applications to production.
- Practical knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector search, agentic systems, LLM APIs, orchestration, and tool calling.
- Strong software engineering skills (Python/Node.js), API design, and cloud/container experience (AWS, Docker).
- Understanding of production LLM concerns: evaluation, observability, failure modes, latency, reliability, and cost.
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, telemetry analysis, and scalable distributed systems.
- Product-minded and able to communicate effectively across teams.
